<2 paper sheets for the week

Use of paper should be reduced to a bare minimum in our lives. As per a study, an average American uses seven trees a year in paper, wood and other products made from trees. This amounts to approximately two billion trees per year. In India too we are increasing use of paper and paper-based products in from of wrapping, packing, printing, newsprint and sanitary etc.

Less paper means less felling of trees. It reduces our carbon footprint. A tree produces 8333 sheets of paper and one paper sheet requires 10 litre of water. Thus this action makes a huge contribution in saving of water, energy and tree.

Restrict your paper usage across hand-written and print-outs to no more than two today. Let us know at the end of the week on how you fared by writing to us on our email id –forms@appliedjainism.in
