Today bulk of the milk and milk products we consume are produced in commercial dairy farms. More often than not these dairy ventures are created with the sole intent of producing milk. For the dairy farms, given their commercial objectives, dairy animals are just milk producing machines and more often than not they are treated as such with little concern for their well-being. Elimination of low yielding, non-milk producing aged cows/buffaloes and non-milk producing male calves is the practice of dairy of industry.
